1. Trans fats
Trans fats are, by far, the most damaging food for your heart.
-A 2015 study estimated that trans fats alone cause several hundred thousand cardiovascular deaths every year.
-Research shows that eating just 4 grams of artificial trans fats per day—less than a teaspoon—increases heart disease risk by 23%.

2. Deep-fried foods
-A 2017 study found that prolonged or repeated heating of cooking oil causes massive AGE production, and that fried foods are the primary contributor of AGEs to diet.
The problem is that AGEs are highly inflammatory, especially to the lining of your arteries.
-Regular exposure to AGES increases your risk of both heart attack and atherosclerosis—that’s the hardening of your arteries, along with inflammatory plaque build-up that blocks blood flow.

3. Sugar
-A 2022 review concluded that sugar contributes to low-grade chronic inflammation, even in healthy people, and that it’s particularly inflammatory for your arteries.
-Another study from 2021 found that low-grade inflammation is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease.
